- Page 36 3.2.c - Location of the remote control Keep the remote control (10) in a position from which the signal can reach the receiver of the appliance (maximum distance is approx. 4 metres - with charged batteries) (figure E). The presence of obstacles (furniture, curtains, walls, etc.) between the remote control and the appliance reduces the remote control range. 3.3 - USE OF THE APPLIANCE Work as follows in order to use the appliance. 3.3.a - Preliminary operations •...
- Page 37 To activate this function, the temperature to be set MUST be higher than ambient temperature. • When ambient temperature reaches the set temperature value, the heating function interrupts and the appliance blows a slight breeze for approximately 40 seconds, then it enters Stand-by mode. When ambient temperature drops below the set temperature, the heating mode reactivates automatically. • Default temperature is set at 25°C. • After 9 hours of continuous operation, the appliance automatically stops operation. The appliance is equipped with an integrated protection sensor which auto- matically switches off the appliance if the latter is accidentally overturned or overheats excessively. In this case: a. switch off the appliance by means of the ON/OFF switch (8) and discon- nect the power plug; b. let the appliance cool down for 15/20 minutes; c.
- Page 39 4.1.b - Air inlets and outlets cleaning Use a soft-bristled brush or a vacuum cleaner to clean the air inlets and outlets (Fig.G). Do not allow dust too accumulate in order to avoid malfunctions. 4.1.c - Filter replacement (Fig.H) After approximately 700 h of operation of the appliance, the filter MUST be replaced. Do not use the appliance without filter or if the latter is damaged. Do not use the appliance beyond the 700 h of operation without changing the filter. EN - 15 VERTIGO...
- Page 40 To replace the filter, proceed as follows: a. Rotate the top cover on the symbol “ ”. b. Raise the cover (6) and the filter (9) upwards to extract them from the appliance. c. Put pressure on the sides of the top cover (6) to separate it from the filter (9). d. Replace the filter (9) with a new one and slot it inside the top cover (6). e. Make sure the filter is correctly inserted in its seat, then reposition the cover (6), making the lower pivot (6b) match in the respective fissure (6a) located in the lower part of the appliance. f. Rotate the top cover on the symbol “ ”. After the filter is replaced, press the ON/OFF key (A1) on the remote control for approximately 5 seconds; the appliance switches off and usage time (700 h) is reset. 5 - BEFORE STORING THE APPLIANCE AT THE END OF THE SEASON • Clean the air outlets and inlets as previously described. • Position the appliance in its original packaging and store it in a dry and fresh environment, far from direct exposition to sunlight.

• Wird die Fernbedienung für ein paar Wochen oder länger nicht benutzt, die Batterien herausnehmen. Etwaige Leckagen der Batterien können die Fernbedienung beschädigen. Die Batterien nicht aufladen oder auseinandernehmen. Die Batterien nicht ins Feuer werfen. Sie könnten Feuer fangen oder explodieren. Tropft die Batterieflüssigkeit auf Haut oder Kleidung muss sie mit sauberem Wasser gründlich abgewaschen werden. Die Fernbedienung nicht mit Batterien benutzen, an denen bereits Leckagen aufgetreten sind. Während des Heizbetriebs, erwärmt sich die Luftklappe (2); auch nach dem Abschalten könnte das Gerät noch heiß sein. NICHT BERÜHREN! Das Gerät ist mit einem eingebauten Schutzsensor versehen, der das Gerät automatisch abschaltet, wenn dies zufällig umgekippt wird oder es sich zu sehr erhitzt. In diesem Fall: a. Das Gerät mittels des Schalters ON/OFF (8) ausschalten und den Netzstecker ziehen; b. das Gerät 15-20 Minuten lang abkühlen lassen; c. das Gerät neu starten. Falls das Problem weiterhin besteht, den Stecker aus der Netzsteckdose ziehen und den Händler oder den technischen Kundendienst kontaktieren. -
