    - diese Betriebsanleitung genau beachten. 1. EINFÜHRUNG Wir freuen uns, daß Sie sich für einen OMNITRONIC AN-31 entschieden haben. Wenn Sie nachfolgende Hinweise beachten, sind wir sicher, daß Sie lange Zeit Freude an Ihrem Kauf haben werden. Nehmen Sie den OMNITRONIC AN-31 aus der Verpackung.

  • Page 7: Bestimmungsgemässe Verwendung

    Den Netzstecker immer als letztes einstecken. Vergewissern Sie sich, daß der Netzschalter auf „OFF“ steht, wenn Sie das Gerät ans Netz anschließen. Halten Sie das Gerät von Hitzequellen wie Heizkörpern oder Heizlüftern fern. Das Gerät darf nicht in Betrieb genommen werden, nachdem es von einem kalten in einen warmen Raum gebracht wurde.

    Wenn Sie digitales Equipment verwenden, schließen Sie Ihr Digitalsignal bitte an die Line In-Buchsen an. 6. BEDIENUNG Beim AN-31 handelt es sich um ein Meßgerät, das das Musiksignal analysiert ohne es dabei zu verändern. Um notwendige Änderungen am Frequenzspektrum Ihres Audiosystems vorzunehmen, benötigen Sie einen 31-Band Equalizer.

    6.1 Analyse der Hauptboxen Stellen Sie das Meßmikrofon in einem Abstand von ca. 1 m zu den Hauptboxen auf. Dieses Vorgehen ist besonders wichtig bei Vorführungen in Innenräumen, weil dabei die ersten Einstellungen innerhalb des kritischen Bereichs (bevor der Nachhall des Raumes den Sound beeinflußt) gemacht werden können. Drehen Sie nun vorsichtig am Pink Noise-Regler, bis Sie die Geräusche der Umgebung (z.

    System verwenden. Diese Möglichkeit können Sie für die Monitorboxen und für das Hauptsystem verwenden. Verwenden Sie einen Mono- oder Aux- oder Loop-Ausgang und schleifen Sie das Signal durch den AN-31 an die Boxen durch. Stellen Sie den Gain-Regler des AN-31 so ein, daß die "+" LEDs auf Signalspitzen reagieren Beobachten Sie die Anzeige bis eine Rückkoppelung autritt.

    If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature. Make sure that the available voltage is not higher than stated on the device's rear panel. Caution: Before switching on the analyzer, make sure that the Pink Noise-control is set to "Min"...

    Should you use digital equipment, please connect your digital signal with the Line In-plugs. 6. OPERATION The AN-31 is a measuring device, which analyzes sound-signals without modifying them. In order to adjust the frequency-response of your sound-system, you need to have a graphic equalizer or a parametric equalizer.

  • Page 16: How To Analyze The Monitor-Speakers

    The LED-display of your analyzer will show a curve with the different frequency-levels. Adjust the extreme levels via the equalizer so that you will see a curve as flat as possible. After you have analyzed your system in the near field and corrected it, position the measuring microphone further away in the room.

  • Page 17: How To Adjust Distorting Frequencies In The System

    Use a Mono- or Aux- or Loop-out and transmit the signal through the AN-31 to the speaker-systems. Adjust the Gain-control of the AN-31 so that the "+" LEDs react to the extreme levels only.
