9 TON ELECTRIC LOG SPLITTER
TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM
Fails to split logs.
The log pusher
moves jerkily, making
unfamiliar noise or
vibrating a lot.
Oil leaks around
cylinder ram or from
other points.
PROBABLE CAUSE
Log is improperly
positioned.
The sizes or hardness of the
log exceeds the capacity of
the machine.
Wedge cutting edge is blunt. Refer to "Sharpening
Oil leaks.
Unauthorized adjustment
wasmade on Max. Pressure
LimitingScrew. Lower max
pressurerating was set.
Lack of hydraulic oil
and excessive air in the
hydraulicsystem.
Air sealed in hydraulic
systemwhile operating.
Bleed Screw is not
tightenedbefore moving the
log splitter.
Oil Drain Bolt with Dipstick
is not tight.
Hydraulic Control
ValveAssembly and/or
seal(s) worn.

REMEDY SUGGESTED
Refer to "Log Splitter
Operation" section for
perfect log loading.
Reduce the log sizes
before splitting it on the
log splitter.

contact the dealer.
Contact the dealer.
Check oil level for possible
oil refilling. Contact the
dealer.
Loosen Bleed Screw by
some rotation before
operating the log splitter
Tighten the Bleed Screw
upthe log splitter.
Tighten the Oil Drain Bolt
with Dipstick.
Contact the dealer.
