Where the existing cables are used, take the following measurements on the cables:
1.
Crosstalk measurement at 100 khz (to detect depairing and to check transmission
quality)
2.
Near-end crosstalk measurement at not less than 60 dB
3.
Attenuation measurement at 10 khz (alpha < 6 dB)
4.
Loop resistance measurement ( R
To facilitate disconnection of the radio base station, you are recommended to:
♦
install a female RJ45 wall jack and use an RJ45-RJ45 ribbon cable, approximately
10 cm in length
♦
use a long RJ45 male connector if you wish to connect the cable directly to the
base station
When installing the base station to on the support, feed the cable through the upper
indented part of the base station, designed for this purpose.
Note:
The DECT base stations is a restricted access device. Installation and
maintenance operations must be performed by qualified personnel only.
8.2.5
CONNECTORS
The radio base station is connected via a RJ45 female connector. Six of the eight pins are
used, as follows.

4 pins for connecting the S0 interface
♦
2 pins for connecting the synchronization signal
8.2.6
DOWNLOADING SOFTWARE TO THE BASE STATION
The base station is delivered with software already loaded. On start up, however, the PBX
will check the base station for the resident software release. If this release is not the same
as to its own software release, the PBX will automatically download it to the radio base
station.
