8.2.2

SEALED CABINET FOR OUTDOORS RADIO BASE STATIONS

Radio base stations outdoors may be installed outdoors in SEALED CABINETS only.
A sealed cabinet (reference DECT052) is used to install DECT radio base stations
outdoors with no need of an external antenna.
A mounting kit (reference DECT055) can be used to secure the sealed cabinet to a
pole.
Install radio base stations in the vertical position. Provide the required clearance for
subsequent maintenance operations, as necessary.
8.2.3

INSTALLING THE BASE STATION

Remote the base station shell by sliding it upwards.
Secure radio base station to the wall using two screws. Keep to the distances between the
radio base stations and obstacles (see table below).
8.2.4

CONNECTING THE BASE STATION

The maximum cable length between the base station and the PBX is 800 m (point-to-point
S0 interface).
Wiring is set up using a 4-pair symmetrical, 6/10 shielded cable (series 278 or L122) or a
category 5 certified cable (e.g. ATT cable reference CPC 06) complying with ISO/CEI
standards 11801.
