10.1.3
LOCAL POWER SUPPLY CONNECTORS
The radio base station can be locally powered using an external power supply unit: 6.5 W,
220 VAC/40 VDC transformer. The connection is via a jack implemented on the card.
The local power pack is made by the company MASCOT and is a non-regulated 220
VAC/42 VDC pack, type 8511D042V with a female 3630 jack, 6.5 W (200 mA à 40 V),
reference PN840B.

EXTERNAL ANTENNAS
The three DECT base station antennas available are supplied by MAT Equipement.

A 50-centimeter cable equipped with a male TNC connector is provided with the dual and
directional antenna (MA821X12). To maintain the gain/directivity of this antenna, additional
cables between it and the base station should not be inserted. The radiating element
therefore has to be placed in immediate proximity of the base station.
Conversely, a remote connection must be used for the other two antennas (MA431X02 and
MA431X03). This must not be detrimental to the radio link. Ensure that the length of coaxial
cables installed between the base stations and the antenna presents sufficiently low
attenuation to ensure that the base station's level of performance is identical to when it is
fitted with two internal antennas. The following diagram illustrates how the different options
are configured.
The internal antenna has an MMS connector (1), one coaxial cable KX21 (2) and the
radiating element (3).
The antenna gain specified by RADIALL is 2 dBi.
The external antenna is connected via a (4-5-6) cord with a male MMS connector (4), a
KX21 coaxial cable (5) and a female TNC connector (6). Radiall specifies losses of less
than the guaranteed dB value (guaranteed). Losses are in the order of 0.7 dB at 2 GHz.
