CHECKING GENERAL OPERATION

1.
Check operation of the master base station
NB:
2.
Put the other base stations in service
Check that all radio base stations switch to the in-service mode, by MMC.
3.
Checking all other (slave) radio base stations for operation
It is very important to check that the entire system operates correctly. The radio base
stations may appear to be in service in the MMCs and according to the blinking LEDs.
However, perform the following operations to make sure the DECT service is operating
correctly:
Using two mobile sets, approach each radio base station and for each base station:
set up a call between these two mobile sets
switch the two mobile sets to the debug mode, then check that the LED for the
radio base station blinks rapidly (saturated state)
record its RPN on the map (that is, the RPN for the radio base station to which the
two mobile sets are locked)

switches to the in-service mode
Where a repeater is used (more than five radio base stations), check the
status of the LEDs on the repeater box:
For repeater 16:
For repeater 96:
If a repeater is not used, check the wiring of the clock pair from master
radio base station: pin 1 of RJ is plus (+).
Register a mobile set on the master base station and perform
communication tests using a fixed set.
Switch mobile set MC 5901 to the debug mode by pressing keys 1-5-9
simultaneously and check that the RPN for the radio base station
reads 00.
Register a second mobile set to the master radio base station and make
a call between the two mobile sets. Check that the green LED for this
radio base station blinks rapidly (saturated state).
Switching to the in-service mode may take about 10 minutes especially if the
PBX must reload the software in the base station.
LED (green) must be blinking
LED (red) on, fixed
LED (green) is blinking at fixed intervals
