DECLARING THE RESOURCES

When the cell has been created in the Topology part, one or more radio base stations must
be allocated to the cell. Cells are allocated to the base stations in two phases:
♦
associate a cell to a trunk group
♦
associate a base station to a trunk group
The purpose of the second operation is to associate a base station connected to an LDS
card in the system with a trunk group, and therefore with a cell because a trunk group
corresponds to a cell, and to define the characteristics of the base station.
9.3.8.1 ASSOCIATING A CELL WITH A TRUNK GROUP
T o associate a cell defined in the TOPOLOGY part with a trunk group, use the MMC
XBORFA, and select the "radio station trunk group" object.
To associate a cell number, a company profile and a trunk group number, use the MMC
XBORFA and select the "radio station trunk group" object. This trunk group is a virtual trunk
group; it will allow you to associate the cell number with a physical equipment using the
"radio station" object).
Define the following parameters:
♦
CCU (cluster)
Mandatory parameter with a value between 2 and 39 corresponding to the position
of the card supporting this radio base station.
♦
Trunk Gp (trunk group)
Mandatory parameter with a value between 0 and 61.
♦
Cell
Mandatory parameter with a value between 0 and 126, corresponding to a cell
created in the TOPOLOGY part.
♦
Company profile
Mandatory parameter with a value between 0 and 7 corresponding to the
authorized company profiles. For multi-company configuration, enter a value of
zero (0).
When the cell has been associated with a trunk, view the screen to check that the operation
was successful.
