DECLARING THE TOPOLOGY
9.3.7.1
DECLARING CELLS (SINGLE COMPANY CONFIGURATION)
TO declare cells, use the MMC XCELLU. This cell allows you to:
define radio zones
break down zones into cells
The geographical area for the radio coverage of a system may include one or more cells. In
a multisite configuration, radio coverage zones may overlap with cells located where radio
coverage zones intersect. You are recommended to define a uniform plan for the allocation
of cell numbers for a multisite system.
The radio coverage of a cell is provided by one or more radio base stations (8 maximum).
However, you are recommended to provide a margin for any future expansion in traffic by
allocating no more than 6 base stations in a call.
To declare a DECT cell in single company configuration, define the following parameters:
type of cell: DECT
cell: 0 to 126
location zone: 0
Note:
The MMC XCELLU does not have the CREATE action. A cell is created by
allocating a zone number and deleted by not allocating a zone number.
