MOBILE RECORDING ALLOWED
This parameter must be set to "YES" during mobile registration if the base station is used
for registration. When mobile registration is complete enter "NO" in this field to avoid
fraudulent registrations. If the mobile registration procedure fails, it is recommended to
activate one or more neighboring base stations during registration.
SYNCHRONIZATION
This parameter indicates the type of synchronization:
internal synchronization (via the M Bit of the S frame).
external synchronization using an additional pair (master radio base station).
external synchronization using an additional pair (slave radio base station).
TS ASSIGNMENT AND FRAME ALLOCATION
These values are declared by default and should not be modified under no circumstances.
ANTENNA SELECTION
You can connect two external antennas to the upper connectors of the base station. In this
case it may be necessary to force antenna selection. In the majority of the cases, enter
"AUTOMATIC".
DISTANCE FROM MASTER BS
1.
If synchronization is internal, the distance is that between the radio base station and
the S0 interface card.
2.
If synchronization is external, this option is used to compensate for the propagation time
arising from the distance between the slave base stations and the master base station (this
option will be displayed only for a slave base station).
The master base station should be located as close as possible to the distribution
frame.
Specify the distance between slave base stations and the master base station or
distribution frame by 100-meter intervals.
TYPE OF BUS
This option allows you to manage the signal attenuation according to the distance between
the MC 6500 PBX and the master base station (short bus < 130 m and long bus > 130 m).
Putting a radio base station in service
In the previous screen "RAD. BASE DEFINITION":
validate radio base station parameters,
the radio base station will be automatically put in service and its data will be
downloaded through a PLL link via the S0 interface.
! ! ! !
Downloading to a base station via a PLL link and S0 is automatic in software
release 11.5 and later.
For earlier releases, see section "Putting DECT cards in service - Special Cases".
