IMPLEMENTATION

Before beginning implementation, check the conformity of the CU cards and S0 interface
cards, and the power supplies. Also check the position of the S0 interface cards in the PBX
and the card switches.
You must respect the order of the following procedures.

basic wiring checks
♦
check clock pair for polarity when sync type is "third pair"
BASIC CHECK of the cabling
Check all pairs for continuity and pairing

Visually inspect pairing at the level of each RJ45 connector on radio base stations
and the distribution frame.

Cable test. Isolate the S0 side at the distribution frame and note the impedance of
the wiring + base station assembly for the 3 pairs. The values observed must be
the same for the transmit and receive pairs. The clock pair impedance must be
greater than approximately 80 ohms.
Measuring the distances between base stations and main distribution frame
Note the observed value of the transmit pair and determine the distance between the base
station and the distribution frame using the following table.

These checks must be performed. Under no circumstances should a radio base
station be put in service before the verification results for all three connecting pairs
are satisfactory.
