1) Scroll to display Count, Sum or Travel
2) Reset Button – Press to reset Count or Sum
3) Select Section Thickness
4) Select Trim Thickness
5) Trim Button
a) Press & release to advance selected trim thickness
b) Press & hold until lit to advance selected trim thickness with each handwheel rotation
6) Course advance specimen to blade holder (illuminates when it reaches the end of its travel)
7) Retract specimen (illuminates when it reaches the end of its travel)
8) Turn chamber light on/off
9) Select Up – Press & hold to increase temperature
10) Select Down – Press & hold to decrease temperature
11) Memo Button
12) Defrost Time – Set the defrost time of day. Press and hold. Select with 9 & 10
13) Interrupt – Press to cancel the next defrost cycle. Press to cancel a defrost cycle when in an
automatic defrost.

Set Real Time – Press & hold 12 & 11. Select with 9 & 10
•
Activate Cryobar Peltier Cooling – Press 10 twice
•
Specimen Position Memory – Press & hold 11 until lit to store position. Press 11 to later return to
stored position.

Activate Immediate Manual Defrost – Press 12 & 2
•
Interrupt Manual Defrost – Turn the main power switch off. Wait 30 seconds and restart the
cryostat.
