Basic Assumptions for Operational Instructions and Sample Photos Instructions apply to the camera with the power on ( Instructions in this guide apply to the app under default settings. It is assumed that the camera is connected to the dedicated app Connect App for Mini PTZ Cam.
Compatible Cards In this guide, all supported memory cards are simply referred to as “the card.” The following cards can be used with the camera, and you can choose a suitable capacity for how you will shoot. If the card is new or was previously formatted (initialized) by another camera or computer, format the card with the dedicated app Connect App for Mini PTZ Cam, installed on a smartphone ( microSD / microSDHC / microSDXC memory cards...

Dedicated App Connect App for Mini PTZ Cam is a dedicated app for controlling the camera. By establishing a Wi-Fi connection (hereafter, “connection”) between the camera and a smartphone or tablet (collectively referred to as “smartphones”), you can control the camera remotely and view captured images.

Positioning the Camera Place the camera on a flat, stable surface. For outdoor use, avoid direct sunlight, and consider placing the camera in the shade. Using the accessory socket on the bottom of the camera, you can attach it to a tripod or other holder.

Turning on the Power To turn the camera on, press the < > button. Press it again to turn the camera off. Caution When the power indicator is lit in red, the battery level is low. Either supply power to use the camera or turn it off and charge it.

Shooting Automatically After you turn the camera on, it will look for people and automatically shoot still photos and record movies. First, pair the camera with a smartphone and establish a connection. After you have established a connection, automatic shooting is possible even without a connected smartphone, simply by turning on the camera.

Shooting With Voice Commands You can control the camera during auto shooting by speaking the commands listed in [Voice Commands] to it. Caution To use a voice command, start speaking within 5 seconds of calling out the camera. Some factors may prevent the camera from recognizing voice commands, such as the distance to the camera, ambient noise, or your way of speaking or the loudness of your voice.

Shooting Remotely Shoot remotely as you view the image on a smartphone. You can check the image as you shoot group photos, or you can check as you shoot subjects who are tracked automatically.

Tap [ (Camera)]. Tap [Video] or [Photo]. When the camera detects a person, a white circle appears around their face, and tracking begins. Selecting [Video] as the shooting mode will show a gray frame around the recording area.

Tap [Beeping]. Adjust the setting as needed. Turning this option [Off] will prevent the camera from playing startup and error warning sounds. Selecting [Mute auto shooting] will prevent the camera from playing the automatic shooting sound. Changing the Camera Nickname The camera nickname at the top of the home screen can be changed. Access the settings screen. Tap [Basic Camera Set.].

Changing Auto Image Deletion Settings To avoid running out of free space on cards, captured images can be automatically deleted. Caution If you turn on [Image auto delete], be sure to tag as favorites any images you would like to keep or save them to a smartphone or computer before they are eventually deleted.

Turn on [Image auto delete]. Caution Images are deleted to provide 2 GB of free space on cards of 8 GB or higher capacity when the free space drops below 1 GB. On cards with a capacity of less than 8 GB, images are deleted to clear 25% of the card as free space when the free space drops below 12%.
Restoring Default Settings You can reset camera and app settings or format cards in the camera. If the card is new or was previously formatted (initialized) by another camera or computer, format the card with this camera. Caution Formatting a card deletes all images and data on it. Even protected images will be deleted, so make sure there is nothing you wish to keep.

Playback problems The file numbering does not start from 0001. File numbering may not start from 0001 if there are already images on the card. The shooting date and time recorded are incorrect. The smartphone's date and time are set on the camera when the devices are connected.
Security If security settings have not been properly set, the following problems may occur. Transmission monitoring Third parties with malicious intent may monitor wireless LAN transmissions and attempt to acquire the data you are sending. Unauthorized network access Third parties with malicious intent may gain unauthorized access to the network you are using to steal, modify, or destroy information.
