reference. Pass this booklet on to who-
ever might acquire the appliance at a
future date.

Intended Usage

This appliance is intended for use as il-
lumination for living areas in domestic
households and only in dry rooms. This
appliance is not intended for use as sole
illumination, for industrial or commercial
applications or for use in occupational
areas. The warranty does not provide
compensation for damage caused by
improper use of the appliance!

Safety instructions

Do not permit children to handle elec-
trical appliances without supervision,
they cannot correctly assess the pos-
sible risks of injury.
Check the appliance and all parts for
visible damages. Should the appli-
ance become damaged, immediately
separate it from the mains power socket.
Then arrange for the appliance to be
checked by Customer Services.

Risk of electric shock.

Connect the appliance only to electrical
wall sockets with a mains voltage of
230-240 V ~ /50 Hz.
Do not operate the appliance if the plug
is damaged. In the event of damage
to the housing, arrange for the appli-
ance to be repaired or exchanged by
the manufacturer, their customer ser-
vices or a suitably qualified person.
NEVER open the appliance. There are
no user-serviceable elements inside.
NEVER submerse the appliance in
water. Wipe it only with a slightly
damp cloth.
Protect the appliance against moisture.
Use it only in dry rooms, do not use it
outdoors or close to liquids.
Ensure that the appliance can never
become wet or moist when in use or
that it could be damaged in any way.
Notice regarding separation from
mains-power:
To completely disconnect the appliance
from mains power, the appliance MUST
be removed from the power socket.
For this reason, the applaince should
be used at a location where unob-
structed access to the mains power
socket is assured at all times, so that
you are able to immediately withdraw
the mains power plug in the event of
an emergency. To eliminate the risk of
fire you should completely disconnect
the plug from the mains power socket
if the appliance is not going to be
used for an extended period, for
example, during holidays.
NEVER take hold of the appliance
with wet hands, this could cause a
short circuit or a potentially fatal
electric shock.
