About the Solar Plus The Solar Plus is a single phase step down transformer designed to protect PV inverters from voltages exceeding 253V. The Solar+Plus monitors the incoming supply voltage and maintains connection grid connection until the voltage reaches or exceeds 253V. At this point, to prevent the PV inverter from an over voltage shut down the Solar+Plus activates and steps down incoming voltage. -

Installation location The Solar Plus is designed to be installed in series with the PV inverter, installed between the inverter and the consumer unit. The cable from the Solar Plus to the consumer unit should be appropriately sized, protected, secured and kept to a minimum distance not exceeding 1 meter. -

User instructions The Solar Plus by default steps down the load on start-up. The green status light displays to demonstrate this. On start-up the Solar Plus will assess the incoming voltage. If the incoming voltage is below 253V on start up and remains below 253V for 5 minutes, the Solar+Plus will disengage and go into standby mode. -
