Function
The dispenser rotation sensor is a 30 mm proximity
sensor which detects the metal band on the bottom
of the dispenser units.
This sensor perform three functions
It prevents tipping or transfer of a bale if the
dispenser is not in the home position.
Displays "Dispenser Position?" error.
It counts the number of rotations of the ring.
It displays the rotational speed of the dis-
penser ring on the RPM display.
Testing
This sensor has a range of 20 mm and is normally
set 12 mm from the target.
Sensor connections,
blue—ground,
brown —12 Volt,
black — output signal.
Indicator glows when metal is detected.
This sensor can be monitored from within the
Input/Output test menu.
See Input/Output test section 11.8 and sensor test-
ing section 11.4.
Function
The motor speed sensor is a reed sensor
monitoring the speed of two magnets mounted
on the ring drive motor hub. It controls the slow
speed at the end of the cycle and brings the
dispenser ring to a controlled stop.
If the dispenser speed exceeds 36 rpm a safety
switch error is generated, this is generally caused
by an incorrect speed setting on the control
valve, or possibly an incorrect setting of the
'closed centre/load sensing' adjuster on the main
hydraulic valve. See hydraulic section 12.
Testing
This sensor can be monitored from within the
Input/Output test menu.
See Input/Output test section 11.8 and Sensor
testing section 11.4.
