Using Secure Digital cards
The Secure Digital (SD) card is a small, high-capacity data storage media card. You can use the Memory Card adapter in the
CompactFlash slot to insert standard-size SD cards and Multi Media cards only (Multi Media cards are the forerunners of SD cards).
Please see your Specifications sheet to see if this adapter is a supplied accessory for your model.
The Memory Card adapter is exclusively for the use of SD cards and Multi Media cards. Please do not insert other memory cards.
Inserting a Secure Digital card with the Memory Card adapter
To insert the SD card, proceed as follows:
1
Insert the SD card into the Memory Card adapter, as shown.
2
Push the card in until it clicks into place.
3
Insert the Memory Card adapter into the CompactFlash slot with the arrow facing upwards.
The card is automatically detected by your system and will appear with its own icon under My
Computer.
Do not force the adapter into the slot. If you have difficulty with it, check that you are inserting the card in the correct direction.
See the manual supplied with your card for more information on use.
!
Always use the Memory Card adapter wth standard-size SD cards or Multi Media cards. Do not attempt to insert the SD card
into the slot without the adapter, or insert any other type of card into the adapter or CompactFlash slot, such as a Mini SD adapter.
