Frequently Asked Questions
Possible cause and solution
Too little coffee is being brewed because insufficient
coffee beans are getting into the grinder.
Have you used a dark roast?
This type of coffee bean is often more oily. These oils
can cling to the walls of the coffee bean containers
and hinder the flow of beans.
Are you using a type of coffee with very large beans
or different sized beans?
The beans are possibly getting wedged or jammed
and forming "bean bridges".
 Clean the coffee bean containers more often if you
are using darker, more oily coffee beans.
 If you are using a type of coffee with very large
beans or different sized beans, pull the bean
containers out slightly and give them a shake.
 If necessary, try using a different type of coffee.
Coffee deposits in the central spout are obstructing
dispensing.
 Take the central spout apart and wash all the
components – with the exception of the stainless
steel cover – in the dishwasher.
This cleaning operation should be performed once
a week.
The milk temperature is too high. Good milk froth can
only be achieved with cold milk (< 50°F (10°C)).
 Check the temperature of the milk in the milk
container.
The milk pipework is blocked and / or the milk valve
is soiled.
 Remove and clean the milk valve.
