GENERAL SAFETY RULES

Failure to observe the warnings can
lead to injury and even death.
Failure to observe the warnings
implies potential damage, even se-
rious, to objects, plants or animals.
Do not perform any operations that
involve opening the appliance.
Personal injury in the form of burns
due to the presence of overheated
components, or wounds caused by
protruding parts and sharp edges.
Do not perform any operations that
involve removing the appliance.
Electrocution caused by exposure
to live wires.
Flooding caused by water leaking
from disconnected pipes.
Do not leave any objects on top of
the appliance.
Risk of personal injury due to ob-
jects falling off the appliance as a
result of vibrations.
Damage to the appliance or to objects
situated along the bottom due to the
object falling as a result of vibrations.
Do not climb onto the appliance.
Injuries caused by falling off the ap-
pliance.
Damage to the appliance or to ob-
jects situated along the bottom as a
result of the appliance falling from
its detached supports.
Do not climb onto chairs, stools,
ladders or unstable supports to
clean the device.
Personal injury caused by falls or fol-
ding (folding ladders).
Do not attempt to clean the ap-
pliance without first turning it off
and unplugging it or turning off the
corresponding switch.
Electrocution due to contact with
live components.
Make sure that both the room and
the systems to which the appliance
must be connected comply with all
relevant applicable regulations.

live wires installed incorrectly.
Damages to the appliance caused by
inadequate operating conditions.
Use suitable manual accessories
and materials (check that the tool

is not damaged and that the grip
is properly secured and in good
condition), use this material correc-
tly, protect it against any accidental
falls and store it away after use.

splinters or fragments, inhalation of
dust, bruises, cuts, puncture wounds
and grazes.
Damages to the appliance or to ob-
jects in the path of flying splinters or
fragments, impacts, incisions.
Use suitable electrical equipment
(in particular, make sure that the
power cable or plug are in good
condition and that any parts with
rotary or alternate movement are
properly fastened), use it correct-
ly, do not obstruct the passage by
dragging the power cable, secure it
to prevent it from falling, disconnect
it and store it away after use.

cution, flying splinters or fragments,
inhalation of dust, impacts, cuts, pu-
ncture wounds, abrasions, noise and
vibration.
Damages to the appliance or to ob-
jects in the path of flying splinters or

Make sure that portable ladders
are stable and strong and that their
steps are in good condition and not
slippery. Make sure that nobody
moves them while someone else is
using them.

It is necessary to ensure that there is
no risk of falls from heights of mate-
rials, components, equipment, etc.
used during installation.

Make sure that stepladders are cor-
rectly positioned and sufficiently
sturdy, that their steps are in good
condition and are not slippery, and
that they have a handrail along the
steps and support.
Personal injury in case of falls.
Make sure that, when working at
heights (generally with height diffe-
rences above 2 m during use), a
safety handrail delimits the work
zone or that individual equipment
allows for preventing any falls, that
the space covered in case of a fall is
not cluttered by dangerous objects
and that any impact is cushioned by
semi-rigid or deformable supports.

Make sure that the work area is suf-
ficiently hygienic and healthy with
regard to lighting, ventilation, the
solidity of relevant structures and
emergency exits.
