  • Page 24 Chapter 3 Assembly & Installation ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS To assemble the Vertical Wall Stand, refer to Figures 3 through 5. 1. Rest the bottom end of the Vertical Column on soft support material. 2. Remove the shipping bolt located in the Flat Base Mounting Plate (see Fig- ure 3).
  • Page 25 Chapter 3 Assembly & Installation 6. Connect the red and black wires on Control Handle Cable to Terminal Block TB1 terminals 2 and 3, respectively (see Figure 5). 7. Connect red and black wires from a double (or reinforced) insulated 24 VDC power source (must meet construction/performance criteria per UL 2601-1) to Terminal Board TB1 terminals 1 and 2, respectively (see Figure 5).

  • Page 31 Chapter 4 Operation Vertical Wall Stand Operation Operation of the Vertical Wall Stand involves moving the Receptor Cabinet (film holder) vertically (i.e., up or down). This is accomplished by depressing the Re- ceptor Cabinet Lock Release Button (see Figure 7), located on the control handle attached to Receptor Cabinet, and then moving the cabinet to the de- sired vertical position.
  • Page 32 Chapter 4 Operation CASSETTE TRAY OPERATION The Vertical Wall Frame is equipped with either a Midwest or Poersch cassette tray, depending on the system ordered. The following paragraphs describe the operating instructions for each. Additional information is contained in the cas- sette tray manufacturer’s documentation, which is shipped with the wall frame.

  • Page 38 Chapter 5 Maintenance A complete series of inspections and functional checks was conducted at the time of installation to insure proper operation of the system. The following in- spection and adjustment procedures are recommended to maintain the system in its original operating condition. Check for evidence of loose hardware or loose wires.
