• Read the beam cell's received signal values once a year in the same way as when the
equipment was installed (in order to identify any loss of performance).

11. Troubleshooting

Fault observed
The green "Tr ON" LED on the
transmission module is off
The orange "Disq." LED on
the receiver module is
permanently lit
The red "Alarm" LED on the
receiver does not light up
when all the beams are
broken
False alarms
Probable cause
- Incorrect power supply
- No power to the transmitter
module
- Transmitter and receiver
modules using different
channels
- Poor cell alignment
- Object obscuring the beams
- Incorrect power supply to the
receiver
- The beams of the two cells
are not broken simultaneously
(for SB450, SB4100 and
SB4200 detectors only)
- Poor cell alignment
- Incorrect power supply

Solution
- Check the power supply
- Check the transmission
power supply
- Set the transmitter and the
receiver to use the same
channel
- Repeat the alignment
procedure
- Clear the paths of the beams
- Investigate the power supply
- Break all the beams at the
same time
- Repeat the alignment
procedure
- Check the cabling and the
cross-sectional area of the
cables used
