By default, the first letter of an entry is capitalized and the following letters are lowercased. After
a character is entered, the cursor automatically advances to the next space after two seconds or
when you enter a character on a different key.

You can easily enter number, symbols, and emoticons into your text message by using the
following procedures.
To enter numbers:
1. Press
information.
2. From the text entry screen, press OPTIONS > Text Mode > 123.
3. Press the appropriate key indicated on the display.
To enter symbols:
Accounts and Messaging
> Messages > Send Message. See Compose Text Messages
