Encryption
To require a numeric PIN or password to decrypt your tablet each
time you power it on or encrypt the data on your SD card each
time its' connected.
From a Home screen, tap

Tap Encrypt SD card to enable the encryption on SD card

• SIM change alert: Send an SMS message to a designated address
when the SIM card is changed.
– This feature requires that you have an active registered Samsung
account.
• Alert message recipients: allows you to add or edit recipients of
these Alert SMS messages when the SIM card is changed out.
• Remote controls: allows the device to be locked, tracked, and
have data wiped remotely when it has been lost or stolen.
Setting up SIM Card Lock
Prevent another user from using your SIM card from accessing
information stored on your SIM card by protecting the information
using a PIN code.
From a Home screen, tap

Tap Set up SIM card lock.

Tap Lock SIM card, enter your SIM PIN code, then tap OK.
3.
Note: You must activate Lock SIM card before you can change your SIM PIN
code.
To change an existing SIM Card PIN:
Tap Change SIM PIN.

Enter the old SIM PIN code and tap OK.
