5.3 Installation Procedures
The AR-32 Architectural Recorder System can be installed in one of two ways, wall-mount or desktop.

5.3.1 Wall-mounting the AR-32C

1. Remove the back cover of the AR-32C by removing the retaining screw at the base of the controller and
snapping the cover off.
2. Pull the Category 5 Ethernet LAN cable RJ-45 connector through the center hole on the back cover
(Figure 5).
3. Using the pre-drilled holes, connect the back cover to a 1-gang wall box.
4. Connect the RJ-45 connector to the front portion of the controller.
5. Snap the front of the controller onto the back cover and replace the retaining screw.

5.3.2 Desktop mounting the AR-32C

1. Remove the back cover of the AR-32C by removing the retaining screw at the base of the controller and
snapping the cover off.
2. Using the four pre-drilled holes, connect the back cover to the included desktop stand (Figure 6).
3. Pull the Category 5 Ethernet LAN cable RJ-45 connector through the center hole on the back cover and
stand, and connect the RJ-45 connector to the front portion of the controller.
4. Snap the front of the controller onto the back cover and replace the retaining screw.
