Starting the Engine
Using the kickstarter
Lightly depress the kickstarter until
resistance is felt. Then, let the kickstarter
return to the top of its stroke.
With the throttle completely closed,
operate the kickstarter. Kick from the top
of the stroke through to the bottom with
a rapid, continuous motion. Allowing the
kickstarter to snap back freely against the
pedal stop can damage the engine case.
Release the front brake lever.

Immediately after the engine starts, push the

choke lever forward to the halfway position.
About a quarter minute after the engine

starts, push the choke lever forward all the
way to fully off.
If idling is unstable, open the throttle slightly.
