Milk Froth

The perfect amount of milk to suit your own taste can be programmed in the device (see
the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Programming Quantities").
1. Fill the water tank (16) with water (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Filling the
Water Tank").
2. Fill the milk tank (6) (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Filling the Milk Tank").
3. Fold out the milk nozzle (4) using the lever (5) (Picture G).
4. Select the setting you want using the dial for the milk froth (2) (see the "Handling and Opera-
tion" chapter – "Setting the Milk/Milk Froth Ratio").
5. Press the
button (21) to switch on the device and preheat the water. The control pan-
el (15) fl ashes during the heating process.
6. Place a suitable cup below the milk nozzle.
7. As soon as the device has heated up, the control panel stops fl ashing. Press the
ton (23). A beep sounds, the process starts and the chosen button fl ashes. Milk is heated with
steam and frothed up.
At the end of the process, a beep sounds, the control panel is fully lit up again and the device
automatically switches to stand-by mode.

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!
Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to
clean the device. These may damage the surface.
1. Clean the milk tank (6) and the sieves (8, 9) after every use with mild detergent and warm
water or in the dishwasher.
2. Empty out the drip tray (12) on a regular basis to prevent overfl owing.
3. Rinse through the tube in the milk tank with clear hot water to remove milk residues after
every use.
4. If necessary, clean the water tank (16) and the drip tray and the cover (13) with detergent and
warm water.
5. Regularly run the cleaning programme (see "Self-Cleaning") to clean the milk tank system as
well as the coffee outlet (11) on the portafi lter (10).
6. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little detergent to remove more
intense soiling.
7. Thoroughly dry the device and all accessories before assembling it again.
8. Check the connecting cable regularly for any damage.
