    To avoid damaging your speakers Before you turn off the receiver, be sure to turn down the volume level. Naming inputs You can enter a name of up to 8 characters for inputs and display it on the receiver’s display. This is convenient for labeling the jacks with the names of the connected components.

    Tuner Operations Listening to FM/AM radio You can listen to FM and AM broadcasts through the built-in tuner. Before operation, make sure you have connected the FM and AM antennas (aerials) to the receiver (page 18). The tuning scale for direct tuning differs depending on the area code as shown in the following table.
