1.3 Cleaning instructions:
Cleaning the tub:
Cleaning WHIRL tubs is easy and effortless.
With proper care, you will enjoy your WHIRL bath for
a long time. Be sure to follow the care instructions.

You can avoid limescale deposits by turning the taps off correctly
and always emptying the WHIRL tub properly.
Only use the cleaning agents and disinfectants recommended
by KALDEWEI and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Do not use any scouring, abrasive or aggressive (e.g. acetone,
nitro, white spirit) cleaners. These can damage and fade the
components and surfaces.
Only use soft cleaning cloths or sponges to clean and care for
the surfaces. Under no circumstances use scrubbing brushes or
sponges, steel wool or other abrasive materials or tools.
These would damage the surfaces.

Cleaning system:
It is recommended to carry out the system cleaning
process after every WHIRL bath.

If the performance of the WHIRL system deteriorates,
the suction nozzle must be cleaned.

Cleaning the outlet and overflow fittings:
Rinse the surfaces with hot water and wipe with
a soft cloth. If the fittings are dirty or clogged,
use a drain cleaner. It is essential to observe the
manufacturer's instructions! Before using a drain
cleaner, it is essential to dismantle the plastic or enamel cover,
suction strainer and valve plug!

Disinfection:
The WHIRL system must be disinfected regularly
to prevent health risks:
- Before first use.
- After every use.
- After a long period of non-use.
A special KALDEWEI disinfectant is available from specialist
retailers. See also page 124
