SUSTAIN INPUT POWER: 12V , 200mA Please Note: To save energy, the SDP-4 will automatically power off after 30 minutes if not used. To turn off this setting, press and hold the first key (A0) when powering on the piano. -

Page 10: Playing Demo Songs
Press the [DEMO] or [START/STOP] button to stop the demo songs and exit demo mode. Demos of the various voices on the SDP-4 can also be played. In voice mode, press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then press the [VOICE DEMO] button to start a demo of the currently selected voice. -

STYLE VOICES The SDP-4 has 20 different voices (please refer to voice list appendix for details). To select voices, press the [VOICE] button to enter the voice mode. The display will show “0.01”. Use the [+/YES]/[-/NO] buttons or the voice direct select buttons to choose the different voices. -

STYLE RHYTHM STYLES STYLE The SDP-4 has 50 different rhythm styles to accom- pany your playing, spanning a wide range of gen- res (please refer to style list appendix for details). To select different styles, press the [STYLE] button to enter the style mode. The display will show “0.01”. -

SONG PLAYING SONGS The SDP-4 features 60 in-built songs, please refer to the song list appendix for full details. To play a song, press the [SONG] button to enter the song selection mode. The display will show the current song number, and all songs will play in a loop. -

RECORDING The SDP-4 allows up to 5 user songs to be recorded. Firstly, press the [RECORD] button to enter user song memory selection. The display will show the current user song number. Press the [+/ YES]/[-/ NO] buttons to select the desired user song memory to be saved to. -

To return to the default setting (0) press the [+/ YES]/[-/ NO] buttons simultaneously. TUNE TUNE The SDP-4 can be fine tuned over a range of +/- TUNE 100 cents (1 semitone). TUNE To do this, press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then use the [˅]/[˄] TUNE piano keys as required. -

METRONOME The SDP-4 features an in-built metronome, providing a steady beat for practicing/recording. The metronome can be turned on/off by pressing the [METRONOME] button. When in use, the LED indicator of the [START/STOP] button will flash to the selected tempo, with the red lights indicating the down beats and the green lights indicating the up beats. -

2,1 and 4 in sequence will select a tempo of 214BPM. During playback of a rhythm style or song, the desired tempo can also be tapped into the SDP-4 by pressing and holding the [SHIFT] button and tapping the TAP piano key at the required tempo. -

The DSP (digital signal processing) effects add REVERB ambience and depth to the sounds of the piano. ON/OFF The SDP-4 has 5 x reverb, 5 x chorus and 5 x EQ effects in-built. REVERB To adjust the reverb settings, press and hold the [SHIFT] button, followed by the REVERB ON/OFF piano key to turn the effect on/off, or the [˅]/[˄]... -

Repeat this process to turn off the duet function, the display will show “oFF”. There are 32 duet types built into the SDP-4, with each voice paired with a pre-set duet sound. To manually select a different type, Press and hold... -

HARMONY Use this feature to automatically add a harmony effect to your performances. To turn this effect on/off, press and hold the [SHIFT] button and then press the [HARMONY] button. (The HARMONY default setting is off.) There are 3 types of harmony effects to choose from, which can be selected by pressing and holding the [SHIFT] button, and then pressing the [˅]/[˄] HARMONY piano keys. -

MIDI FUNCTION MIDI OUT SUSTAIN The SDP-4 comes complete with two MIDI MIDI OUT SUSTAIN connection points. 1. USB 2. MIDI OUT Connect the Instrument MIDI OUT terminal with a standard MIDI cable to either your computer or to an external audio source using a MIDI IN jack. -

MIDI 5. DATA SETTINGS In MIDI controller edit mode, press the [DATA] MIDI button, the screen displays the data value of the selected controller, and the “STYLE” icon lights up. By this time, directly set the data value by pressing the assigned key(s) in the MIDI section to the desired function. -
