    IRST Thank you for purchasing our Ashbury shed kit. These instructions will construct an 8'x12' building. See back page for breakdown of material that is included in our kit. Our component kit does not include the shingles, giving you a choice of color and quality.
  • Page 3 Step 1 Assemble Floor 1. After removing all material from the pallet/floor, turn the pallet over. 2. Remove the 2x4-4'shipping cleats. 3. Remove the (2) two loose 2x4 floor joists. 4. Install (3) three 87" long treated floor joists, between the 48" long boards. Use 16d galv.
  • Page 4 Step 1 Assemble Floor continued 7. Place the floor sections on a level surface, flooring face down. Nail the floor sections together with 16d galv. deck nails. 8. Install 72" long treated 2x4s over the floor joist to reinforce where the floor sections butt together.
  • Page 5 Step 2 Assemble Trusses Building Tip: To aid in the assembly of the trusses, temporarily screw 2x4 blocks to the back wall frame. There are short 2x4s, that may have an angle on one end, supplied in the kit for this purpose. This will trap the truss parts and insure that all the trusses will be assembled the same.
  • Page 6 Step 3 Assemble Sidewalls 1. Position 2x4-68-1/2" boards together and indicate with 'X' marks, where the wall studs will be located. Mark the ends that will butt together with the letters 'A' and 'B'. 68-1/2" Wall Plate 68-1/2" Wall Plate 19-3/4"...
  • Page 7 Step 4 Set Wall Panels Nail wall panels together using 10d sinkers. Secure panels to floor. Step 5 Layout Truss Spacing Layout sidewall plate for truss spacing. Mark the first line 19-3/4" from the inside of the rear wall. Then place more marks 24" on center. Repeat process for the opposite sidewall. Important: When marking the opposite wall, place the 'X' mark on the same side of the line so your trusses are parallel when they are installed.
  • Page 8 Step 6 Set Trusses Install trusses over the "X" marks. Toenail truss to wall plate using 10d coated nails.
  • Page 9 Step 7 Install Roof Sheathing 1. Install the roof sheathing per the layout below. Install the sheathing flush with the 2x4 wall frames, not the siding. Use 7d sinkers, space nails 12" apart. 33" x 24" 33" x 48" 33" x 72" 13"...
  • Page 10 Step 9 Install Doors & Hardware Use2" 1. Lay the left door with the trim facing up. The 2x4 Screws Here frame on the left door extends past the door trim. See detail below. 2. Install 4" hinges to the left side of the door frame. To position the hinge properly, hold the rectangular plate against the frame.
