Installing the Comp Mount
After preparing the roof, slide the first Comp Mount back into
position. Insert the provided lag screw with the provided seal-
ing washer into the hole and drive the screw into the rafter (Fig
4). Verify that the two holes in the mounting block are aligned
vertically. Then tighten the lag screw to 13 ft. lbs. Cover the lag
screw with the provided EPDM cap (Fig. 5). Repeat this step for
the remainder of the front row attachment points.
Positioning Subsequent Rows
Moving up roof, to determine the location of the next Comp
Mount, measure off the lower edge of the lower Comp Mount to
one of the 2 threaded holes on the upper Comp Mount (Fig 6).
See Mechanical Specifications below for threaded-hole loca-
tions. See the formula below to calculate the spacing based
on the orientation and module dimensions.

Module Width + ⅝" + 3⅜"
Row 1 to Row X:
(X – 1) (Module Width + ⅝") + 3⅜"
All additional rows should be measured off
the lower edge of the first-row mounting block
(Fig. 7) using the formula above to determine
the exact location of the Comp Mounts. Refer
to the Zep System II PV Module Installation
Manual for instructions on installing the Zep
Compatible module array.
