Maintenance
Proper and regular and maintenance and the use of original
spare parts only are essential for fault-free operation and a
long service life.
INFO
When performing product maintenance movement of
the product must be prevented.
A monitored, overriding locking mechanism must
prevent every kind of operation.
CAUTION
Risk of injury from falling from climbing aid!
Climbing aids (e. g. ladders, scaffolding etc.) may tip
over if improperly erected.
Position climbing aids on level and firm ground.
INFO
Fabrics can become electrically charged. Contact
with persons or objects may result in electrostatic
discharge from electrostatically charged fabric.
4.1

Cleaning

To ensure the longest possible life, we recommend
that you clean the surface of the product regularly or
at least once a year.
If the first cleaning takes place several years after
initial installation, the product or fabric cannot be
restored to its original condition.
Replacement claims cannot be honoured on the
grounds of these cleaning instructions because the
effectiveness of these measures depends on a large
number of factors that vary from case to case.
Always follow the manufacturer instructions when
using chemical cleaning products. In the interest of
the environment, it is recommended that you only
use 100% biologically degradable cleaning products.
NOTICE
Product damage from incorrect cleaning!
Incorrect cleaning procedures may result in damage
to the product or product parts, and the surfaces and
structures may be permanently altered.
Do not use high pressure washers, steam
washers, abrasive cleansers or sponges, and
solvents such  as alcohol or naphtha.
Remove dirt or foreign objects from the product
or parts of the product. Fallen leaves create the
conditions necessary for microbial activity.

Wash the fabric with a mild detergent solution
and lukewarm water.
A special waterproofing agent has been applied to
acrylic fabrics. This waterproofing layer is diminished
every time the fabric is washed.
Use a colourless rubber eraser to remove any
soiling on the fabric.
Clean the surfaces with a suitable cleaning
agent.
Remove objects or soiling from the guide groove
of the bottom rail.
INFO
The cleaning agent must be removed from the
awning fabric with fresh water. This will retain the
water-repellant properties of the awning fabric over a
longer period.
Every time the fabric is cleaned with cleaning
agents, the original protective function of the
awning fabric is impaired slightly. For this reason,
it is recommended that you have the fabric
reimpregnated. Later reimpregnation cannot restore
the awning fabric to its original new condition.
