Docking Port

FRONT PANEL COMPONENTS

Following is a brief description of your Port Replicator's

front panel components

Docking Port
The docking port connects the Port Replicator to your
notebook. (Figure 4-9)
Port Replicator Release Latch
Lift the Port Replicator Release latch to remove the Port
Replicator from your notebook. (Figure 4-9)

ATTACHING THE PORT REPLICATOR

To attach the Port Replicator follow these easy steps:
1. Power off your notebook.
2. Align the Port Replicator connector on the back
of your notebook with the connector on the
Port Replicator and push together. (Figure 4-10)

3. Tighten the attachment knobs to secure the Port
Replicator to your notebook. (Figure 4-11)

DETACHING THE PORT REPLICATOR

To detach the Port Replicator follow these easy steps:
1. Power off your notebook.
2. Untighten the attachment knobs to unsecure the
Port Replicator from your notebook. (Figure 4-12)
3. Lift the Port Replicator's release latch up to release it
from your notebook. (Figure 4-12)
4. Pull away the Port Replicator to detach it from
your notebook.
Do not carry your notebook with the Port Replicator
attched to it. The Port Replicator may break.
