The meanings of the symbols are as follows:
Power-on indicator
• Indicator is lit up: The notebook is switched on and ready to use.
• Indicator flashes: The notebook is in standby mode.
• The indicator is not lit up: The notebook is switched off.
Battery charging indicator
Indicator lights up: the battery is charging.

Drive indicator
Indicator lights up: one of the drives (e.g. hard disk, CD/DVD) is being accessed.
