IMPORTANT INFORMATION OF EMISSION REGULATION
To conform to U.S. EPA Phase 3 and CARB LSI (Large SI) emission regulations, the following
standards must be followed before using the WG972-E4 engine.
1. EXHAUST SYSTEM
THE WG972-E4 ENGINE MUST USE THE BELOW CATALYTIC PARTS, AND EXHAUST BACK PRESSURE OF THE
EXHAUST SYSTEM MUST BE WITHIN THE BELOW VALUES;
GENUINE PART
CATALYTIC MUFFLER
CATALYTIC CONVERTER
WOT, 3600 rpm
REFER TO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.
Any modifications to the fuel system or any adjustments made on this engine will cause this engine to be in non-
compliance with emission regulations.
2. KUBOTA RECOMMENDED GASEOUS FUEL SPECIFICATIONS
(1) [LPG : WG972-GL /WG972-L]
A Commercial Propane Gas only.
A Equivalent to Propane HD-5 of GPA* standards.

(2) [CNG : WG972-N]
A Compressed Natural Gas only.
A Consult KUBOTA for further info of fuel used.
3. LPG or CNG REGULATOR WITH VAPORIZER (WG972-GL, WG972-L, WG972-N)
When operating WG972-GL, WG972-L, WG972-N on gaseous fuel, only a KUBOTA GENUINE REGULATOR KIT can be
used.
Only this regulator can be installed by an authorized KUBOTA DISTRIBUTOR or the manufacturer of the equipment in
which this engine is used.
4. PURGE PORT
Kubota prepared the purge port on the air-cleaner flange (WG972-G) and gas mixer (WG972-GL). You should use this
purge port to combust fuel vapors vented from the fuel tank.
