Start ProtoCOL 3 software

Position plate
Capture image
Click

Click
Create batch

Plate configuration

Select
Choose an application

ProtoCOL 3
Log on to ProtoCOL 3
Insert the plate holder, ensuring the
plate holder that gives the best
contrast between the colony and
background is used
Place plate onto plate holder
Select the image tab and check the
live box
Adjust the exposure by increasing/
decreasing the sliding scale
Capture image
Click New Batch
Select Plate Configuration to set
plate size, sample volume and
threshold. Defaults are Circular
plate 90mm, Sample volume
1ml. Change if necessary
Select Multi-Sector Plate
