INSTRUCTIONS TOMATO MILL As a matter of convenience the appliance is partially disassembled in the packing. The transmission spindle with spring must be placed in the opening of the cast iron base (9). Insert the endless screw (10) in the cast iron base fitting it to the square of the transmission spindle. Place the conical filter (11) onto the endless screw, then push and turn it counter clockwise to fit the tabs of the ring nut into the designated holes in the base. Fix the funnel (8) on to the neck of the base. Fix the catch container (12) onto the conical filter and the cast iron casing using the clips. The appliance is now ready for use. Never use the appliance when empty. Should the endless screw (10) jam, always set the power switch to “OFF” (‐0‐) and pull the plug out of the socket before taking any action on the appliance. After use, unscrew the funnel (8), remove the catch container (12), turn the conical filter (11) clockwise to remove the endless screw (10) and the transmission spindle. Remove the cast iron base (9) from the reduction cover (6). Thoroughly clean, dry and eventually grease all the parts that came in contact with food. Replace the black air stopper with the red one before you store away the appliance. GRATER ACCESSORY Base and handle in aluminium. Toothed roller in tinned steel and catch container in food grade plastic. The grater is fixed to the motor reduction by means of an axial rounds multiplier with nylon gears wheel included with the appliance. ‐ Fill the container (8). Respect the amount of ingredients as recommended in paragraph “recipes and advice for use”. ‐ Mount the cover (7) onto the container (8) en turn clockwise, fastening the cover entirely in order to switch on the appliance. ‐ During operation it is possible to add liquid or flour without turning the appliance off by using the opening in the cover (7). ‐ Turn the dough mixer off after about 2,5‐3 minutes when the dough is thoroughly mixed. Remove the cover by turning it counter clockwise and remove the dough out of the container. If you have followed the instructions as described in paragraph “recipes and advice for use” the dough should be a compact mass and can easily be removed from the container (8). Now you can shape the dough to a specific form or it can be cut to pieces for use with the pasta set. The pasta set can be used with the same 400 W motor to make spaghetti or 10 other kinds of pasta. ‐ Once mixing is finished turn the mixer (9) about 5 mm counter clockwise en lift it up to remove it from the base. To remove the container (8) also turn it counter clockwise. Thoroughly clean and dry all accessories. 3. A too large amount of liquid will cause the mixture to stick to the mixer (9) and the container (8). Improve the mixture by adding flour trough the opening in the cover (7) but it is still possible that the parts already stuck to the mixer (9) or container (8) remain stuck, these will have to be removed by hand when cleaning the appliance. 4. too little liquid can hinder the cohesion of the dough. Add liquid trough the opening in the cover (7) till the dough has reached the proper mixture. Add the liquid little by little to avoid the problems addressed in point 3. 5. Disassemble and clean the pasta set entirely after every use. Switch off the motor and pull the plug out of the socket. Loosen the nuts which secure the press to the motor cover (6) and remove it. Remove the sealing ring by turning clockwise. Remove the pasta mould and the endless screw, then thoroughly clean and dry all parts that have been in contact with the dough. Make sure you remove all the particles out of the pasta mould before the particles are dried up. Put the pasta mould in warm water to get the particles out. REASSEMBLING Switch off the motor and pull the plug out of the socket. Put the endless screw (8) into the base of the appliance with the square part facing up. WARNINGS ‐ The motor has to be switched off and disconnected when the appliance is being assembled, disassembled, cleaned and even when the pasta mould is replaced. ‐ Only use the pestle supplied with the package to push the pasta through the appliance. Never use your fingers ! ‐ Remove the pasta mould (9) and the endless screw (8) after use. Thoroughly clean and dry every part that has been in contact with the dough. Submerge the pasta mould in warm water for easier cleaning. ‐ It is possible that the dough can have a light colour when coming out of the appliance. This depends on the amount of pressure that’s been used. The pasta will be of a lighter colour when pressure was weak or darker when pressure was correct. The colour won’t change the quality of the dough. WARRANTY CONDITIONS This appliance has a warranty of 2 years for consumers and 1 year for professionals. The warranty runs from the date of purchase. This is the date that is indicated on the receipt issued when the dealer delivers the machine. The manufacturer undertakes to repair free of charges or to replace the parts showing manufacturing defects within the warranty period. Defects not clearly attributable to materials or manufacture shall be examined by our technical expert and will be charged according to the outcome of the examination. The guarantee does not cover: accidental damage caused by transport, neglect or inadequate treatment, incorrect or improper use and installation failing to comply with the indications in the instruction or in any case resulting from causes that do not depend on normal operation use of the machine. The warranty will be cancelled if the machine has been repaired or manipulated by unauthorized third parties. An intervention during the warranty period does not automatically include the replacement of the machine or an extension of the warranty. The warranty does not cover any cleaning operations on the machine or parts of the machine.
