Adding and subtracting of the measurements
(see fig. 9-10)
Take first measurements as described above.
Press and release button 6 ("FUNC") once to
perform the addition operation�
Press and release button 6 ("FUNC") twice to
perform the substraction operation�
Take second measurements�
Measurement values will be added or sub-
tracted, depending on which math operation you
choose� Display 1 will show calculated value (see
fig. 9-10).
Attention: mathematical operations
are performed only for measure-
ments of the same type. If the first
measurement is linear, then the
second measurement will also be linear and
the result will be in meters (m). If the first
measurement was an area measurement, then
when you select the addition or subtraction
mode, the type of the second measurement
will automatically switch to area measurement,
and the result will be in square meters (m
Maintenance
Sign "Measurement problem"
If display 1 shows sign 17, this indicates
measurement problems:
the distance to be measured is outside
the measurement range - aim the beam
more accurately, or measure the distance
in parts;
The manufacturer reserves the possibility to introduce changes.
the received signal is too weak - use a spe-
cial light target (accessory), ensure that the
appliance is immovable when taking measure-
ments;
the received signal is too strong (the sur-
face reflectivity is too strong) - use a dark tar-
get (accessory)�
Cleaning the appliance
Keep the appliance clean� Do not use caustic
substances or solvents�
Remove contamination from the laser beam
output hole 2 and receiving lens 3, using sub-
stances suitable for camera lenses� Do not use
sharp objects or corrosive substances�
