Installing batteries (see fig. 1)
•
Remove cover 20 (see fig. 1).
•
Install batteries 21, observing the polarity�
•
Replace cover 20�
The need to replace the batteries 21 is sig-
•
nalled by a sign 18�
Attention:
•
do not use old and new batteries together;
•
use only alkaline batteries or rechargeable
batteries;
•
remove batteries if you are not going to use
the appliance for a long time;
•
do not dispose of old batteries with house-
hold waste�
Switching on / off
Switching on:
Press and release button 5 ("ON")� The laser will
turn on and display 1 will show some signs (see
fig. 5) the backlight of the display 1 also turns
on� The backlight of the display 1 will automati-
cally turn off if no any buttons are pressed for 10
seconds�
Switching off:
Press and hold button 8 ("CLEAR / OFF")� Signs
on display 1 will disappear� Additionally, the ap-
pliance automatically turns off after 2 minutes of
inactivity� Short pressing of button 8 ("CLEAR /
OFF") deletes the measurement result�
Working advice
Presetting the appliance before measurements
(see fig. 2-4, 7-10)

Turn on the appliance�
•
To select the reference point, press and release
button 7 ("UNIT") (see fig. 2-3). Sign 11 will display
the selected reference point�
•
To select the measurement units, press and
hold button 7 ("UNIT") (see fig. 4). The meas-
urement units will be alternately displayed on
display 1 (sign 19)� It's possible to measure in
meters ("m"), feet ("ft") and inches ("in")�
To select the measurement type, press and
•
hold button 6 ("FUNC") as described below (see
fig. 7-8). The selected measurement type is dis-
played with sign 16 (area or volume measure-
ment)�
•
The obtained results can be added and sub-
tracted using button 6 ("FUNC") as described be-
low (see fig. 9-10).
Single measurement (see fig. 5)
•
Turn on the appliance�
•
Set the appliance in the measurement start-
ing point�
Press and release button 5 ("ON")� Display 1
•
will show the measurement result (see fig. 5).
Continuous measurement and maximum /
minimum values measurement (see fig. 6)
•
Turn on the appliance�
•
Press and hold button 5 ("ON"), display 1 will
show signs 12 and 14 (see fig. 6).
•
Take measurements�
Display 1 will show measurement results (mini-
•
mum, maximum and current value)� The maxi-
mum and minimum values will be indicated with
signs 12, 14�
Area measurement (see fig. 7)
•
Turn on the appliance�
•
Press and hold button 6 ("FUNC") to enter
the area measurement mode� Display 1 will show
sign 16 (see fig. 7). There are flickering symbols
around sign 16; they show which of the two dis-
tances should be further measured�
•
Press and release button 5 ("ON") to measure
the length�
•
Press and release button 5 ("ON") to measure
the width�
•
Display 1 will show the measured length /
width and the calculated area�
Volume measurement (see fig. 8)
•
Turn on the appliance�
•
Press and hold button 6 ("FUNC") twice to en-
ter the volume measurement mode� Display 1 will
show sign 16 (see fig. 8). There are flickering sym-
bols around sign 16; they show which of the three
distances should be further measured�
•
Set the appliance in the measurement starting
point�
Press and release button 5 ("ON") to measure
•
the length�
Press and release button 5 ("ON") to measure
•
the width�
•
Press and release button 5 ("ON") to measure
the height�
•
Display 1 will show the measurement results
and the calculated volume�
