TROUBLE SHOOTING AND REPAIR

8.1

Trouble shooting

Fault
The plunger leaks.
The plunger does not
move freely.
LED flashes.
LED does not light up
when starting the
measurement.
There is no electrolysis
after starting the
measurement.
The pressure gauge
does not give a
reading.
The thermometer does
not give a reading.
GMT
Possible cause
The O-rings are
damaged.
The handle has been
set incorrectly.
The plunger and/or the
O-rings are dirty.
The battery is almost
empty.
The battery is empty.
The battery has been
fitted incorrectly.
The battery is empty.
The electrical unit with
the LED is faulty.
The electrolysis wire is
broken.
The pressure gauge is
faulty.
The thermometer is
faulty.
 
 
Solution
Disassemble the plunger and
clean or replace the damaged O-
rings.
Adjust the handle.
Disassemble and clean the
plunger or replace the damaged O-
rings.
Replace the battery.
Replace the battery.
Check the position of the battery
(+ve and -ve terminals).
Replace the battery.
Replace the electrical unit.
Contact Haffmans BV, your local
representative or your agent.
Replace the pressure gauge.
Replace the thermometer.
