BE CAREFUL : if a torque is applied to the wrench during power-on period, an initial torque offset will be
recorded in the memory. Displayed value won't be the actual applied torque.
Setup
1. Unit selection : press U/S. Unit selection is in cyclic : N.m, in.lb, ft.lb, kg.cm
2. Set target torque : press up or down buttons to increase or decrease torque value.
Peak / Track mode selection
1. Long press on U/S. Torque wrench displays "modE".
2. Press up or down buttons to select P (Peak) or T (Track).
3. To confirm your choice, press 2 times U/S.
Track mode operation
1. Start (press C) and set target torque.
2. Apply torque. In Track mode, torque wrench displays current applied torque.
3. When you reach 90% of target torque :
-
Buzzer : bip, bip, bip...
Green LED : "●"
-
4. When you reach 99.5% of target torque :
-
Buzzer : biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip
Red LED : "●"
-
Peak mode operation
1. Start (press C) and set target torque.
2. Apply torque. In Peak mode, torque wrench displays always the maximum applied torque.
3. When you reach 90% of target torque :
-
Buzzer : bip, bip, bip...
Green LED : "●"
-
4. When you reach 99.5% of target torque :
-
Buzzer : biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip
Red LED : "●"
-
5. The maximum value you have reached is flashing on display.
6. Press C to clear display and tighten another component.
Over-torque (110% of max. torque range) may cause breakage or accuracy lose. If wrench displays "ErO",
this wrench has ever been applied more than 110% of max. torque. Damages are not covered by warranty.
Maintenance and storage :
-
Do not shake violently or drop wrench. Do not use as a hammer.

Do not leave in any place exposed to excessive heat, humidity, or direct sunlight. Do not use in water (not
waterproof). If wrench gets wet, wipe it immediately.

Do not use organic solvents when cleaning this wrench.
-
Keep away from magnets.
-
Do not expose to dust, sand, or salt.
-
Do not apply excessive force on LCD display.
-
Apply torque slowly and grasp the center of the handle. Do not apply load at the end of handle.
-
If the torque wrench does not function normally, loosen the battery cap then tighten it to re-start.
-
One-year periodic recalibration is recommended. Please contact your local specialist. VAR does not
recalibrate torque wrenches.

DV-12100 only : when checking accuracy or during calibration, please use the bit head packed inside the
blow mold case.
