2.1

Intended use

This product is a machine (in accordance with the EU Machinery Directive
2006/42/EC).

Observe the performance limits listed in the technical data.
The height-adjustable workstation is a work appliance and not designed for
private use.
Intended use includes having read and understood these instructions,
especially chapter "2 General Safety Instructions".
• The height-adjustable workstation is lifting equipment for separately
lifting and lowering the working area and material supply.
• Use only at a solid, stationary operating location.
• Integrate the height-adjustable workstation in its environment in
accordance with the safety requirements. The user is responsible for
correct and safe installation.
• Instruct personnel, see "Personnel qualifi cations".
• In the event of an unsafe and incorrect operation of the height-adjustable
workstation, risk of serious injuries exist due to crush and shear points.
• Only use original manufacturer accessories.
2.2

Improper use

Any use of the height-adjustable workstation other than described in the
chapter "Intended use" is considered as improper.
2.3 Personnel qualifi cations
Assembly, commissioning and operation, disassembly, and service
(including maintenance and repair) require basic mechanical and electrical
knowledge, as well as knowledge of the appropriate technical terms. In
order to ensure operating safety, these activities may therefore only be
carried out by qualifi ed technical personnel or an instructed person under
the direction and supervision of qualifi ed personnel.
Qualifi ed personnel are those who can recognize possible hazards and
institute the appropriate safety measures due to their professional training,
knowledge, and experience, as well as their understanding of the relevant
conditions pertaining to the work to be done. Qualifi ed personnel must
observe the rules relevant to the subject area.
