Adjusting the gear changing system

Your bike has several manually interchangeable gears thanks to a
Shimano lever system with a rear derailleur. Use the right-hand
lever to change the rear sprocket. On a hill, the large sprocket
makes pedalling easier. Adjust your gear ratio (sprocket) as needed.
Careful, never pedal backwards during the gear change and never
force the control lever.
For optimal use of the gear change system, it is recommended that
you do not change gear when you are pedalling hard.

Adjusting the rear derailleur stops

The derailleur's range of movement can be adjusted with the H and L
screws.
The L screw can be used to adjust the upper limit (on the side of the large
sprocket).
When you loosen the L screw, the chain is positioned more towards the
outside of the large sprocket.
The H screw can be used to adjust the exterior limit (on the side of the
small sprocket).
When you loosen the H screw, the chain is positioned more towards the
outside of the small sprocket.
These actions are carried out by a quarter turn. With each adjustment,
you should obtain a perfect alignment between the sprocket, the chain
and the pulley of the rear derailleur.

Adjusting the tension of the rear derailleur cable

To set the correct sprocket change, use the wheel on the rear derailleur or the right-hand gear shift
handle. This wheel allows you to adjust the tension of the derailleur cable and to position the derailleur
correctly according to the speed selected.
