4. pRepaRing foR uSe
Recommended hook-up procedure is shown below (fig.1).
4.1.
The saw requires an air pressure of between 50-90psi and an air flow of 4cfm.
waRning! Ensure the air supply is clean and does not exceed 90psi.
Too high an air pressure and/or unclean air will result in excessive wear and may be dangerous, causing damage and/or personal
injury.
4.2.
drain the air tank daily. Water in the air line will damage the saw and will invalidate your warranty.
4.3.
Clean compressor air inlet filter weekly.
4.4.
line pressure should be increased to compensate for unusually long air hoses (over 8 metres). The minimum hose diameter should
be 1/4" I.D. and fittings must have the same inside dimensions.
4.5.
Keep hose away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Check hoses for wear and make certain that all connections are secure.
4.6.
Couplings Vibration may cause failure if a quick-change coupling is connected directly to the air saw. To overcome this, connect a
leader hose (Sealey Part No. AH2R) to the saw. A quick-change coupling may then be used to connect the leader hose to
the air line recoil hose (fig.2).

aDDing oR changing BlaDeS
waRning! The blade guard may be removed when replacing blades, but it must always be on during operation. Using the saw
without the blade guard can result in severe injury.
waRning! Disconnect from air supply before making adjustments.
5.1.1.
The blade guard can be removed to accommodate a file (not supplied). To remove the blade guard, loosen the two grub screws on
the ring at the base of the guard (fig.3).
5.1.2.
To change blades, loosen the grub screws on either side of the blade until the blade is loose (fig.3).
Do not over tighten the screws.
8
Do not allow the air tool to run free, whilst not being applied to the material, for any length of time, as this will damage the
8
bearings.
5.1.3.
If the cut starts within the bounds of the material, cut a starter slot by handsaw.
5.1.4.
If the cut ends within the material, allow the blade to come to a stop before removing the saw from the workpiece.
DangeR! never use a dull, bent, or cracked blade.
5.1.5.
Check that the blade and blade guard are tight before each use.
5.2.
on-off Device
5.2.1.
To operate this tool, push the lever toward the tool. The tool will work continuously until the trigger is released.
5.2.2.
Appropriate PPe shall be worn when operating this tool i.e. eye protector, ear defenders, dust mask, and gloves.
5.2.3.
The work space shall be well ventilated.
5.2.4.
Release the on-off device in the case of interrupted or failure of the power supply.
5.2.5.
Use only the recommended lubrication oil. (Use Sealey part no. ATO/500 or ATO/1000)
5.2.6.
Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Spanner for Check that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed from the tool or machine
work surface before attaching to the air supply.
5.3.
If the cut starts within the bounds of the material cut a starter slot by hand.
5.4.
ensure that your workpiece is properly secured and, if necessary, marked out.
5.5.
Start the saw and bring the moving blade onto the workpiece.
Do not attempt to start the saw with the stationary blade in contact with the workpiece.
8
5.6.
If the cut ends within the sheet material allow the blade to come to a stop before removing the saw from the workpiece.
Do not allow the saw to run without load for any length of time as this will damage the bearings.
