Questions and answers
After pushing start button the vacuum starts to go but when bag is completely empty of air machine won’t automatically switch to heat mode and seal
If the FoodSaver V2490 does not switch to heat mode and seal after vacuuming, possible causes include:
1. The lid is not securely latched.
2. The open end of the bag is not correctly placed inside the Vacuum Channel.
3. The Accessory Hose is attached, which prevents vacuum sealing with bags.
4. There are wrinkles along the Sealing Strip, which can prevent proper sealing.
5. The motor runs too long (over 30 seconds), indicating a poor vacuum or air leak.
6. The appliance may have overheated and shut off automatically; wait 20 minutes to cool.
Check each of these issues to ensure proper operation.
