Mogul–100 Quick Guide
The Mogul-100 connects an Ethernet network to a Very High speed Digital
Subscriber Line (VDSL), so it allows your Ethernet local area network
(LAN) to connect to a wide area network (WAN). The Mogul–100 is
compatible with the Extreme Networks VDSL module for the Alpine 3800
series switch. Your service provider is responsible for installing and
maintaining the Alpine 3800 and for establishing a WAN connection to
your facility over standard telephone-style wiring. The Extreme Networks
VDSL WAN connection looks like a standard RJ11 voice phone line, but
does not carry standard telephone calls, only network data.
Once your provider has established the wiring and activation for your site,
the Mogul-100 connects your provider's WAN to your LAN.
