    This operation and installation manual contains useful and important information for the correct operation of the Pentair Water Pool and Spa gas fired pool heater for the healing of swimming pools and spas. Read these instructions carefully before putting the heater into operation. The manufacturer’s warranty may be void if, for any reason, the heater is improperly installed and/or operated.

ELECTRONIC IGNITION MODULE The electronic ignition module provides pilot and main gas valve control, pilot burner ignition, and flame monitoring for the pool heater.
  • Page 28 MiniMax CSD-1 Controls (contd.) LOCKOUT CONTROL The lockout control provides continuity for a 24vac pool heater control circuit. A contact closure provided by the heater system ignition controls operates a latching relay removing continuity from the heater control circuit. PRESSURE SWITCH OPERATION The air pressure switch is a safety device to insure that the blower is operating and has been designed to monitor the vacuum (negative) pressure within the fan housing. The air pressure switch is in the ignition module circuit and the ignition module does not operate unless the switch is closed.
