The operating principles of the ODU are as follows:

Uniform Interfaces
The ODU developed by Huawei adopts the same physical interfaces and software
communication protocol as Huawei IDU and supports the interconnection with devices of
multiple models.
Issue Draft A (2013-12-20)
In the TX direction, the ODU up-converts and amplifies the analog IF signals from the IDU
into RF signals of a specified frequency, and transmits the RF signals to the antenna system.
In the RX direction, the ODU down-converts and amplifies the RF signals from the antenna
system into analog IF signals, and transmits the analog IF signals to the IDU.
