Page 2: Turn On The Printer
Install Ink Cartridges Install Ink Cartridges There are 8 cartridge slots in the printer, but 9 ink cartridges are included. One slot can use either the Photo Black cartridge or the Matte Black cartridge. Install the Photo Black cartridge for professional quality glossy printing and for printing on a wide range of media. Install the Matte Black cartridge for professional quality matte printing. -

Ink button and close the printer cover. Press the Power light flashes as your printer charges ink for about 2 CAUTION: Don’t turn off the printer or interrupt charging while the light is flashing or you’ll waste ink. Load Paper Load Paper Flip open the paper support and pull up the extensions. -

Close button to close the message. FireWire Connect one end of the FireWire cable to the back of your printer and the other end to your computer. NOTE: If your computer uses i.Link or another 4-pin FireWire connection, you will need to connect a 6-pin to 4-pin FireWire (IEEE 1394) cable. - Page 5 Connect your printer to your computer with EITHER a USB cable or a FireWire cable. Connect the square end of your USB cable to the back of your printer and the flat end of the USB cable to your computer. (You can connect to any open port.)
- Page 6 In Mac OS X 10.4.x, select Stylus Photo R2400. (If it doesn’t appear, click More Printers, select EPSON USB, choose Stylus Photo R2400, and click Add). In Mac OS X 10.2.4 to 10.3.x, select EPSON USB at the top and Stylus Photo R2400 below. Mac OS X 10.4.x NOTE: If the Stylus Photo R2400 doesn’t appear, make sure it is turned on and...
