Assembly & Inspection Depending on how you ordered your CHCFE wagon, assembly may be required. To assemble your wagon please find the Assembly Instructions Manual that came with your wagon. Assembly instructions will also include accessory installation instructions. Before beginning assembly or putting the wagon into service the first time, inspect Wagon for shipping damage. Field Operation This section describes how to safely and effectively operate the CHCFE wagon in the field of operation. By following recommended procedures, a safe working environment is provided for the operator, bystanders and the area around the work site. Not all situations and conditions can be addressed, proceed with care & caution and use safety as your guide. The owner or operator has the responsibility of being familiar with the operation of the CHCFE wagon and must train all other operators before they start working with the machine.

Towing Be aware of local, provincial, state, and national codes concerning towing implements (wagon) on public roads. Vehicles traveling at maximum road speed 40kph (20mph) or below must have a SMV (slow moving vehicle) sign attached to the rear of the implement. In the U.S. vehicles towing at the travel speed rating of maximum 50kph (30mph) require an SIS sign in addition to an SMV.

Wheel Alignment When the unit is new, both axles are preset at the factory with .3175 - .635 cm (1/8” – 1/4”) tow-in and should not require any initial adjustment. Adjustment may be required if steering components have been damaged or replaced. Toe in adjustments should be made by qualified personnel.
Horst uses non asbestos brake pads. When replacing the brake pads, replace with non asbestos type pads. As with all brakes periodic maintenance and inspection is required. Brake troubleshooting, maintenance or replacement should be performed by qualified personnel only.

All claims must be accompanied by a photograph of the defective product. Defective products may be required to be returned to Horst Welding in Listowel, Ontario at the request of Horst Weld- ing. Repairs / Replacement will be done at no charge to the customer within a reasonable time after the receipt of the product.
